Crafts

I think my mom can contest to this that I have always enjoyed crafts. For a while though in my mind I thought I needed to sew. This is my weakness. Not that I can't do it, but I don't really enjoy it. I enjoy it though if I have something I'm super excited to work on.

Lately, I have been following quiet a few blogs. Ranging from family and friends, to homeschool, and crafts. You can get some great ideas from reading what other people think or know. Advice though, don't get weighed down by reading what other people do and feel you have to do what they do to be a better mom, wife, sister, or friend. This I know can easily get to me. God has design each of us with a great ability, a gift. When you discover the gift God gives you it can be amazing.

I have this idea that from now on I want to start making as many gifts as I can when I get the chance. Now, I won't be able to do this all the time, but I am going to try harder to be more creative. This is what I love. I LOVE putting hrs and hrs into something for someone else. To know you are giving that person a one of a kind gift is so rewarding.

My nephew just turned 8 on the 16th! I saw a tutorial on making shirts and thought I would give it a try. I love it! Now I just need to find small t-shirts for Beckham so he can sport some of of his own(I'm not a fan of oncies past the 6m mark. Unless it's for an undershirt! or you have just the right pair of pants to pull off the look ).

My brother in-law is a beaver fan so of course his son is. I thought it would be fun to make him a beaver shirt. I thought it turned out pretty good. In making the shirts I have discovered a few things to change. Like, the 18 could have been closer, but o well not a big deal.

Second up was my other nephew Titus. He turned 2 on the 20th of this month. I thought it would be fun to make him 2 shirts because I thought they would both be easier than Josiah's Beaver shirt. Well, one was and the other one since I flossed it a lot took several hrs. When

finished though, I really liked the way they turned out.

The dinosaur could

have been bigger but again, I'm just learning and have lots of time to keep practicing.

The second shirt that I made Titus was modeled from a shirt I have for Beckham. I changed mine up some which I think turned out even better. You can't really see in the picture but I flossed all of the green part. Didn't get a super close picture of the front.
