Puzzle Piece

Can a week be fast and slow all at the same time?

This week has been a more mellow week for us. Our typical routine has unfolded with not any crazy twist, turns or bumps. I would say it was a slow week since we are very use to a more then typical busy schedule. Or at least in our minds busy. I see now why Brooklyn always asks what we are doing and easily can get disappointed if our following day doesn't involve something other than our home. Although, I do see her enjoy pajama day, craft time, playing with her stuffed animal or trudging in her boots through the mud as she seeks an adventure in the great outdoors. Or best of all simply playing with her sister as their minds explore the endless possibilities they have.

I take these moments in life and in the moment I too can become bored or even doubtful with am I doing what's right or best for my children or husband. But, these moments in life that might seem stale I see God opening my eyes and pulling me even that much more closer to Him. Revealing a piece of my puzzle. Encouraging me. I find these moments of boredom to fade quickly. Life is not about me. Life for me is turned directly on serving my Savior.

These past 2 months I have noticed a deeper desire I have in a few areas. I have been more excited with seeing a piece of mine and Dennis' puzzle take shape. It blows my mind at how awesome of a God we serve. How He has prepared our hearts in His timing for each puzzle piece that He is revealing to us. How blessed we are to have each other together sharing the same excitement over the same things all revolving around our Savior. All for His Glory!!! Wow!!!

So my week has been slow...but my mind has been on overdrive. It has for awhile now. As a child we are asked over and over, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" or during teenage year it's said to be "finding your identity!" I look at both those statements as what drives you? what excites you? For me it was God molding my heart for serving and supporting my husband, raising my children, and Home schooling. Along with these God has revealed another puzzle piece. A piece that clearly fits with the direction He is taking us on.

That piece is what I call, "Home Baked Missions!"
