SONrise Sunday!!!

“I have been crucified with Christ

and I no longer live,

but Christ lives in me.

The life I now live in the body,

I live by faith in the Son of God,

who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

If I could completely describe not only my thoughts but my feelings for each and every person this world would be so different. However, God who never has had a beginning and who will never have an end sent His only Son to die for my sins and change this world forever.

Having a Father who then came alive three days later to show His absolute sovereign power is by far the most powerful life changing event. Guess what?.......That's my daddy!!!

Remembering what He did on that cross for not just me but for so many others is life changing.

Today, I acknowledge our Savior and what He accomplished that day. Today I reflect on how life changing that one little although so big act became. How God knows and predetermines every little detail of our lives all to fit into place with His big picture.

I realize that everyday needs to reflect our gratefulness we have in our Savior, our Lord and our Creator. Resurrection Sunday is more then just a day that religious people celebrate. Its a day that Jesus showed the world He is the Savior. My eyes have seen and my ears have heard about His good news. I feel that nothing I ever do will show God my beyond appreciation, joy, love, thankfulness I have for saving me, but I know God sees my heart and I look forward to that day I can wrap my arms around my Daddy while soaking in His presents. What a comfort, what a peace. What He did for me on that cross that day is mind blowing, and what He did in my heart is breath taking!

He traded His crown for a crown of thorns,
He picked up His cross and laid down His sword.
He stumbled down the road, bruised and beaten for me,
Jesus walked the way of grief, hallelujah.

On the Via Dolorosa
All my sin was carried away.
And the power of Hell was broken
As He gave His life away.

He knew it was to come from the very start,
But His love for all the world beat inside His heart.
He climbed the road of suffering to the hill of Cavalry,
Where the saints would be redeemed, hallelujah.

On the Via Dolorosa

All my sin was carried away.
And the power of Hell was broken
As He gave His life away.

Jesus fixed His eyes upon the new horizon,
Soon He would rise and the world would be forgiven.
[x2]

Hallelujah, Jesus rose again.
On the cross He shed His blood on Calvary,
And I'm thankful for the journey of my King.

On the Via Dolorosa
All my sin was carried away.
And the power of Hell was broken
As He gave His life away.
Oh, as He gave His life away.

He traded His crown for a crown of thorns.
