Land mine

Walking through our home sometimes feels like a constant land mine of toys. It's not that we have them flowing out of every corner, but it's our children not yet fully grasping the concept of picking up after themselves and the importance of this. When I step over their things, get frustrated that they moved on without cleaning up after themselves, God gives me a reminder. A reminder that these little blessings are His creation. A reminder that I was at one point a tiny blessing running around leaving my things out. God gives me the reminder to continue too diligently, lovingly, and with much patience guide and direct my blessings in a way that pleases the Lord. I want my kids to see the importance of picking up after themselves. The advantages of not living with such clutter. Freeing up our time from our STUFF to give more time to build and strengthen relationships. To have more time to study God's word. More time to soak up our Savior in where He has placed us in life.  Our kids are learning we

out of love.  God has also placed these toys and "clutter" in our lives to take our eyes back to Him. To help us stop and just hug and hold our kids even when things aren't where we think they should be. Remember that cleaning time is also a time in training, correcting, discipline and love.

Thank you God for these little reminders of blessings!
