Cooking Thursday

Cooking Thursday came back today. We've been pretty busy lately but Brooklyn and I were excited to get back into our math lesson plus enjoy something good after our hard work. Today Brooklyn again learned about 1/2, 1/4 plus her new lesson was on tsp, and T. We enjoyed making what we call Church Cookies.

She helped me go down the list of ingredients and figure out the amount we need for each thing.

Then she got to enjoy a cookie once they came out of the oven. She made quiet a mess today while cooking but we both had fun (Bailey was asleep the whole time so we didn't have an extra mess to clean up :) ).

Church Cookies:

1 1/2 cups Sugar

1 1/4 tsp Soda

1 cup Brown Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla

2 Eggs

1 tsp Nutmeg

1 1/2 cup Marg or Butter

7 cups Flour

3 T Baking Powder

1 1/2 cup Milk
