Secrets of True Love: Part 6

be Adventurous"

ummer for me is a time to work on the tan and soak up the sun. Today was going to be a perfect day. The sun was out and not a cloud in the sky. As I pulled up to his house in my parents red truck, I couldn't wait to get started.
Neither of us were working, so his family decided to take a little rafting trip and invited me along. I hadn't really done to much rafting in my life. A little here and there but I hadn't floated on a blow up boat in a long time. It's fascinating how in matters of seconds your love for someone can not only grow stronger, but revel a longing to forever be attached to them, and never lose them. Our rafting trip turned into a trip we'd never forget. While his parents and sister floated in front of us and out of sight we tagged behind for the first time in the trip so that we could snack on the food we had just got from his parents raft. We noticed ahead a log that had fallen in the water and decided we would have to push off of it when we got closer to try to avoid getting sucked under. Noticing his parents and sister struggling when they passed by, we thought that only having two we could maneuver easier around it. Not much longer our plan was destroyed. Our raft was taken from us, and we were struggling for our lives. Okay, it wasn't that bad. I grabbed for the log and he went under. For about five seconds which can seem for an eternity I was scared. I couldn't see him and I didn't want to lose him. It brought a sudden awareness of how I felt. The moment I saw his head appear above the water it was as if I could finally breathe. We finally got to a strip of land and began collecting our things. Fortunately, our boat was able to be inflated. We lost one shoe, a hat, our food, and one ore, but we hadn't lost each other and that's what counted.
Love pops up in many different ways. That day it reconfirmed even more that I never wanted to lose him.
